Gareth Coker is a British composer and producer working in Los Angeles. He is known for his melodically driven scores, unique soundscapes, and attention to detail and execution in the application of how music emotionally relates and connects to a game's players. His approach is particularly sought out for his ability to establish iconic franchise-defining sonic identities whether it be through thematic content, or aesthetic design, for new intellectual properties. Across multiple differing styles and games, his acclaimed scores have garnered numerous awards, including the Ivor Novello Award for Best Original Video Game Score (twice), Academy of Interactive Arts & Sciences Award for Outstanding Music Composition, the SXSW Award for Excellence in Musical Score (twice), and multiple Game Audio Network Guild awards. He has received multiple nominations from BAFTA, GDC, and the IFMCA, amongst others. 

Works include Ori and the Blind Forest (2015) / Ori and the Will of the Wisps (2020), all music for the ARK franchise across TV and games, (2015-), The Ruined King (2021) and The Mageseeker (2023) for the League of Legends universe, Halo Infinite (2020), Mario + Rabbids: Sparks of Hope (2022), Immortals Fenyx Rising (2020-2021), Darksiders Genesis (2019). He has also written multiple soundtrack albums for various Minecraft expansions (2016-2019), and contributed to Insomniac Games' VR title The Unspoken (2017). Most recently he co-scored Ubisoft's Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown. He continues to work in both the AAA + independent gaming spaces.

Gareth Coker

This pioneering composer, sound designer, musician, and record producer whose electrifying scores have redefined the sonic identity of modern video games. Emerging from the gaming industry in the mid-2000s, Gordon first made his mark with sound-design work at Pandemic Studios before rapidly becoming one of the most sought-after voices in game music. Known for his innovative fusion of heavy metal, industrial, djent, electronica, orchestral, and sound-design textures, he brings genre-defying energy and raw emotional power to every project.

Gordon’s soundtrack for DOOM (2016) stands as a watershed moment in game audio, earning him the Game Awards “Best Music/Sound Design,” D.I.C.E. Award, SXSW Award, and a BAFTA nomination. His work on Wolfenstein: The New Order fuses 1960s-inspired protest tones with modern distortion, creating a rebellious, immersive soundscape that mirrors the game’s alternate-history tensions.

Other standout projects include powerhouse scores for Wolfenstein: The Old Blood, Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus, Prey, Killer Instinct, Atomic Heart, and Beautiful Desolation. His artistic ethos centers on making music "a translation of the world in which it exists, rather than a simple accompaniment"

Mick Gordon

This Japanese composer is famous for her acclaimed work on Dark Souls III, Sekiro, and Elden Ring. 
Blending orchestral, ethnic, and vocal elements, she continues exploring new musical expressions as an independent artist. For Absolum OST, she composed the theme for the Silver Queen boss fight in her typical epic and captivating style.

Yuka Kitamura

One of Japan’s most celebrated video game composers, whose unmistakable sound has shaped some of the medium’s most iconic worlds. Sakuraba first emerged from the progressive rock scene before establishing himself as a groundbreaking composer blending rock, symphonic, and experimental elements.

With legendary contributions to franchises such as the Tales of and Star Ocean series, the cult-classic Valkyrie Profile, and the critically acclaimed Dark Souls trilogy, Sakuraba’s work has left an enduring mark on generations of players and listeners alike. His music is at once adventurous and emotional, pushing the boundaries of what game soundtracks can achieve.

Mostly recorded at the famous Vienna Synchron Stage, this soundtrack immerses you in the lands of Talamh thanks to the beautiful work of Gareth Coker, the acclaimed composer behind Ori and the Blind Forest, ARK: Survival Evolved, Halo Infinite... Coker brings his signature emotional depth, blending dark fantasy orchestration with medieval-inspired themes and brooding atmospheres, setting the tone for the events taking place in this cute but twisted fantasy world. Magic may be forbidden in these lands, but the music is still truly enchanting!

To add an even more special flavor to this already well crafted soundtrack, we brought incredible guests for special tracks: Mick Gordon (DOOM 2016, Wolfenstein: The New Order, Atomic Heart...), Yuka Kitamura (Elden Ring, Dark Souls III, Dark Souls II), Motoi Sakuraba (the Dark Souls Series, Mario Golf, Star Ocean), and Rachel Hardy (Stray Gods, Eternal Strands).

Kid Katana Records teamed with Quantic Dream and Parallel Studio to release Under the Waves OST composed by Nicolas Bredin, a first of its kind product!

This double LP is a 21-track piece of art influenced by Icelandic composers (Valgeir Sigurdsson and Ólafur Arnalds), and post-rock bands (Mogwai, Sigur Ros, Radiohead). Standing as a profound embodiment of the game’s narrative, it also resonates with the game’s partnership with Surfrider Foundation Europe to raise awareness on plastic pollution and its devastating impact on our oceans.
That's why we had to find the most eco-friendly solution to release a physical edition: these vinyls will be manufactured through the brand new Biovinyl process — which means without using any plastic — and a specific work was conducted on all the other aspects of the product to make it as sustainable as possible:

Plastic-free disc production: Under the Waves OST vinyl is the first of its kind to be manufactured without the use of any plastic, as all petroleum in S-PVC is replaced by recycling used cooking oil or industrial waste gasses. The ISCC PLUS certification obtained by the manufacturer even guarantees a sustainable supply chain. Plus this vinyl comes in a nice transparent green color.

Eco-friendly packaging: this 2xLP gatefold packaging is made of 100% recycled paper and cardboard, and printed with sustainable inks made from plant oils

Eco-friendly design: we set up a minimalist approach throughout the whole design to save the use of paper and ink: no printed booklet, no large plain-colored full-surfaces, only 1 color used (more visuals to come!)

High-quality audio: while focusing on sustainability, there is absolutely no compromise on the quality of the music which has been tested and approved before manufacturing.

The rock legend behind Faith No More and Mr Bungle performed an exceptional cover of the original 1987 TMNT theme. His punk energy and eccentricity perfectly fit the atmosphere of the song and the universe of the Turtles. The modern and punchy production gives a whole new color to this rock anthem that is already in everyone's mind. A new life for this timeless classic!

Mike Patton

2 MCs from the legendary rap band Wu-Tang Clan encounter between another pop culture icons rooted in the streets of NYC, the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. For the game TMNT: Shredder's Revenge, Raekwon and Ghostface Killah embody the epic battle against Shredder. The beat, by Tee Lopes, is a perfect balance between the 90s hip-hop spirit and the colorful universe of the Turtles, dear to a whole generation. This strong track is a real demonstration of technique and energy in the purest tradition of the classics of the group.

Sean Bialo aka CosmicGem is a music composer based in Toronto, Canada. Armed with a lifelong infatuation with game music, he takes inspiration from all corners of its history to create new, fresh soundscapes.

He has worked on nice game OSTs such as Penny's Big Breakaway alongside Tee Lopes, Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: Rita’s Rewind, Double Dragon Gaiden: Rise of the Dragons and lead remixer of TMNT: Shredder's Revenge - Radical Remixes.

Button Masher is a Video Game Music arranger and composer standing as a frontman of the current chiptune scene. After his 2021 GRAMMY Award for Best Arrangement: Instrumental or A Cappella for his and Charlie Rosen’s arrangement of “Meta Knight’s Revenge”, he was nominated in 2024 for a second GRAMMY for his work with Charlie Rosen on their arrangement of “The Last Surprise” in the category of Best Arrangement: Instruments and Vocals. For TMNT: Shredder's Revenge, he took over “Rumble In The Zoo”.

Jake Kaufman composed some great chiptune VGM OSTs such as Shovel Knight, the Shantae series, Contra 4, Red Faction: Guerrilla, DuckTales: Remastered, and Crypt of the Necrodancer. He remixed “It Won't Fly!” part of the Radical Remixes Album.

Heavily influenced by classic video game and anime music since childhood, Sergio de Prado, also known as ‘sergeeo’ is a Spanish musician, producer, game developer and sound designer. With close ties to the demoscene and the chiptune scene (notably on the Kind of Bloop collaborative project), he has also been very active in the local rock, funk, ambient and electronic music scene. 
Sergio is a big fan of rompler sounds, as well as analog and FM synthesizers. He has been active full time in the game audio world for more than fifteen years, contributing to projects for Disney, Mattel, Dreamworks, Scopely, and more. Most recently, he served as a sound designer for Blasphemous 2 and is the lead composer for NINJA GAIDEN: Ragebound.

Sergio de Prado

Keiji Yamagishi is a Famicom-era pioneer and has composed music for some of the most beloved gaming franchises, notably Ninja Gaiden, Tecmo Bowl, Captain Tsubasa and Gitaroo Man. In 2015, Yamagishi released his first ever solo album, The Retro-Active Experience, inspired from his Famicom days and fueled with more passion and inventiveness. Yamagishi returns to the Ninja Gaiden franchise with two tracks for Ninja Gaiden: Ragebound.

Keiji Yamagishi

Following the works of Keiji Yamagishi and Ryuichi Nitta at Tecmo, Kaori Nakabai took over NINJA GAIDEN 3 and was able to deliver the same quality of music that the series was well known for. Her gameography includes Tecmo’s role-playing game Radia Senki (composed alongside Yamagishi) and the fan-favorite Captain Tsubasa 3 on the Super Famicom. She went to Koei and helped shape the soundtrack of Dynasty Warriors with Yamagishi, and then formed Kajiya Music alongside Yamagishi and Nitta. Nakabai returns to the NINJA GAIDEN franchise with a track for NINJA GAIDEN: Ragebound.

Kaori Nakabai

Ryuichi Nitta started his gaming career at Tecmo, where he co-composed the original Ninja Gaiden alongside Keiji Yamagishi (using Yamagishi’s sound driver), and then went on to compose the soundtracks to Ninja Gaiden 2 and Solomon’s Key 2. After his time at Tecmo and Banpresto, Nitta became a freelancer and founded his own music company, Kajiya Music, with Keiji Yamagishi and Kaori Nakabai (of Ninja Gaiden 3). Nitta returns to the Ninja Gaiden franchise with two tracks for Ninja Gaiden: Ragebound.

Ryuichi Nitta

Known for her “aphrodisiac-like” airy and coquettish vocals, Hitomitoi delivers urban pop with a distinctive charm. She has collaborated with numerous artists both domestically and internationally and works across various fields, including composing for films and leading the neo-doo-wop band Jinatana & Emeralds. In March of this year, she released TelepaTelepa, her first original album in approximately eight years. The project features collaborations with a diverse range of international talents, including Jack Tatum of Wild Nothing from Virginia, USA. As she continues to connect with artists from around the world, her creative expression keeps expanding on a global scale.

This album illustrates the incredible return to the saga's origins, embodied by Ryu Hayabusa's disciple Kenji Mozu and The Black Spider Clan Kunoichi Kumori, both united to repel the sudden onslaught of demons. It takes players back to its roots: a side-scrolling, brutally precise action-platformer set between the events of the first three episodes of the NINJA GAIDEN 8-bit era. The game’s OST blends different genres: rock, retro tunes and action-packed arcade music that respect the IP music legacy while modernizing it.

To make it happen, Sergio de Prado from The Game Kitchen has created a unique soundtrack that represents the rebirth of the saga’s spirit, with guest appearances of the NINJA GAIDEN series iconic Japanese composers: Keiji Yamagishi (NINJA GAIDEN III, Streets of Rage 4…), Kaori Nakabai (NINJA GAIDEN III, Destrega…) and Ryuichi Nitta (NINJA GAIDEN, NINJA GAIDEN II…). The OST even features an original bonus song by the famous city-pop artist Hitomitoi!

Inspired by the music of one of the most iconic pop culture licenses of all time, main composition was assigned to Tee Lopes, the talent behind the music of Sonic Mania and Streets of Rage 4: Mr X’s Nightmare. His musical vision echoes the spirit of the turtles and this specific game specificities: tributes to classic TMNT tunes with a good dose of fun and switching fluidly between 80s/90s electro, funk, rock, and jazzy tunes with chiptune vibes.

On top of that, prestigious guests were added to the line-up. We’re proud to host legends such as Raekwon The Chef and Ghostface Killah from the legendary rap band Wu-Tang Clan, and Mike Patton, frontman of Faith No More and Mr Bungle. They all performed exclusive tracks recorded specifically for the game and the OST.

The TMNT: Shredder’s Revenge OST composed by Tee Lopes was totally remixed in the spirit and aesthetics of a NES soundtrack. Sean Bialo supervised the whole sound identity and remixed most of the tracks. Several guests were invited to add their own touch:

Anamanaguchi, the legendary chiptune-based pop & rock band from NYC behind Scott Pilgrim vs. the World OST, remixed the banger “Panic In The Sky!”

Jake Kaufman, the composer of some great chiptune VGM OSTs such as Shovel Knight remixed “It Won't Fly!”

Button Masher, Grammy Award Winning Video Game Music Artist and frontman of the current chiptune scene took over “Rumble In The Zoo”

Keiji Yamagishi, one of the Ninja Gaiden series 80’s composers and considered as a pioneer of chiptune music, produced the 8-bit version of “The Lost Archenemies”

Tomoya Tomita, member of Konami’s sound team in the 90’s and part of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles III: The Manhattan Project remixed “A Few Screws Loose”

The Japanese legendary composer, sound designer worked on the Dark Souls series, Metal Gear 2: Solid Snake, Ace Combat X: Skies of Deception to name a few. For HOTEL BARCELONA, he serves as both Audio Director and Composer for some tracks.
As a musician, he also pursues a DJ carreer with concerts in Japan and all over the world.

TECHNouchi / Yuji Takenouchi 竹ノ内 裕治

This Japanese VGM composer is known for Final Fantasy X, Final Fantasy IV: The After Years, Threads of Fate for Square Enix, as well as arcade video games such as X-Men and Mystic Warriors for Konami. His ambient style and specific percussion, timbre, and rhythm compositions makes him a perfect match for HOTEL BARCELONA fast-paced action.

Junya Nakano 仲野順也

Founder of the Video Game Orchestra and Sonic Symphony, Shota performs the electric and classical guitar with the orchestra as well as hosts the shows. As an accomplished musician, Shota has been actively working for video games (Final Fantasy XII and XV, Ace Combat 3D, No Straight Roads, The Good Life) and films, performing for musicals and concerts, and creating a number of recording sessions internationally.

The trio consisting of Ruth Radelet (vocals, guitar, synthesizer), Adam Miller (guitar, vocoder), and Nat Walker (drums, synthesizer) represent 3/4 members of the legendary Chromatics band from Portland, Oregon. Inspired by the music of one of the most iconic pop culture licenses of all time, this OST was fully composed by Tee Lopes, the talent behind the music of Sonic Mania and Streets of Rage 4: Mr X’s Nightmare and of course Shredder's Revenge vanilla game OST. His musical vision echoes the spirit of the turtles and this specific game specificities: tributes to classic TMNT tunes with a good dose of fun and switching fluidly between 80s/90s electro, funk, rock, and jazzy tunes with chiptune vibes.
